Product Description:
The Sash chair from Wharington is a commercial utility chair with an overall recycled content of between 53-74%. The chair is stackable, light-weight, linkable and has the option of having an upholstered seat and back.
Manufacturing furniture with Recopol™ shells –a patented low embodied energy ABS recycling technology featuring an average 75% (but up to 100%) recycled ABS content, replaces non-sustainable materials, reduces waste in production and greenhouse emissions and are fully recyclable at end of life. Recopol™ shells are able to be re-upholstered endless times, they are unaffected by moisture, insects or mould.
The stainless steel frame is made from 60% recycled content and can be recycled at end of use.
The design of the chair allows for easy repair and disassembly. The components of the chair can be disassembled and recycled or refurbished. Manufacturer provides environmental pledge to take back their furniture at end of life for re-manufacture.
All Wharington’s Sustainable Furniture range contains no PVCs and no CFCs have been used in manufacture.
