Overview:
Luminate® product that can be used for doors, panels and partitions. Ambro runs a takeback program to re-use its doors and panels. Any waste created from the product goes back into manufacturing the core based products of the company. Suitable for interior and exterior use in commercial and residential applications.
Product Description:
Luminate® doors and panels made from 75% less timber than a solid wood product. Although the door is made from virgin timber this saving in timber requirements results in a reduction in the need for virgin timber production. Product is made using a wood lamella veneer to cover a particle board core and finished with a UV coating. Any waste used during the manufacture of the product is recycled to make the company’s core based products.
Product has low VOC’s and is reusable at end of life. Manufacturer offers a product takeback scheme to facilitate the reuse of the panels and doors.

Ecospecifier Issues of Concern / Red Lights:
Various timber certification schemes are currently in operation in regards to sustainably managed timber plantations as sources of wood. An analysis of the various timber certification schemes reveals that the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is the most rigorous and robust, and environmentally desirable certification to receive, due to the stringent criteria followed.(eg. FSC is the only scheme based on a clear set of min. performance based criteria, prohibits the conversion of forests to plantations, and also prohibits the use of GMO trees).
Timer component of Ambro Panels do not come from FSC certified sources.
