At the heart of ecospecifier lies its extensive database of over 3500 products categorised into plain English categories, with 81 major and 533 sub-categories.

Uniquely, products are also searchable against the environmental benefit you wish to obtain, such as low off-gassing, or by individual Green Star or building rating scheme credit such as BASIX, through the ‘eco-outcomes’ search.

And of course, the database is also searchable by keyword.

How much of ecospecifier is in the public domain?

As part of ecospecifier's desire to make information about environmentally preferable product widely accessible, approximately 10% of the database is available in the public domain, and this percentage grows regularly as new Basic Plus Listings are added. As a general rule these are products suited for residential & commercial applications, and should be of interest and use to both professionals and non-specialist users undertaking renovations and building work.
